Friday, Dec. 8 9:53 a.m. – A hot water tank caught on fire at the Plum Research Center…. Friday, Dec. 8 9:53 a.m. – A hot water tank caught on fire at the Plum Research Center. A Pitt Police officer was sent to file a report. The incident was cleared.
11:03 a.m. – A student was cut by a saw in the sculpting lab of the Frick Fine Arts Building. Officers transported the injured student to UPMC Presbyterian. The incident was cleared.
12:12 p.m. – Officers assisted Pittsburgh Police looking for a bank robbery suspect. A man in a red jacket possibly on a bus at Forbes Avenue and Atwood Street got off and ran inbound on Forbes Avenue. Pittsburgh Police apprehended the suspect. The incident was cleared.
Saturday, Dec. 9 12:14 a.m. – Officers arrested student Jared Michael Nash, of 3725 Sutherland Drive, for underage drinking, disorderly conduct and presenting a false ID at the Sigma Alpha Epsilon house. The incident was cleared.
1:12 a.m. – Officers arrested student Evan P. Garippa, of Malvern, Pa., for disorderly conduct. The incident was cleared. Editor’s note: The charge against Evan P. Garippa was dismissed and expunged as of Feb. 21, 2008.
3:33 p.m. – A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle at Fifth and Meyran avenues. The person was transported to UPMC Presbyterian’s emergency room for evaluation. The incident was cleared.
3:45 p.m. – Police arrested non-affiliate Gerald Laurina, of 5528 Jackson St., for defiant trespass at Posvar Hall.
Monday, Dec. 11 12:41 p.m. – Officers assisted Pittsburgh Police with a man reporting he was a victim of armed robbery on Dec. 3, 2006, on York Way at the rear of Mad Mex Restaurant. The incident was cleared.
12:42 p.m. – A person was hit by a vehicle at Darragh and Allequippa streets. Medics transported the person to UPMC Presbyterian. The incident was cleared.
11:26 p.m. – Officers assisted Pittsburgh Police with a report of a fight outside of Boomerang’s Bar on Forbes Avenue. The incident was cleared.
Friday, Dec. 15 12:30 p.m. – Police arrested student April Brandt, of Jefferson Hills, Pa., for underage drinking in the Litchfield Towers Lobby.
Saturday, Dec. 16 4:35 p.m. – Officers arrested non-affiliate Glenn D. Richmond, of Wexford, Pa., on an outstanding warrant in the 3600 block of Forbes Avenue.
Sunday, Dec. 17 1:44 a.m. – Police arrested non-affiliate Catherine Mari Forgenie, of 682 Loridge Drive, for drunk driving at Fifth Avenue and Thackeray Street.
5:09 a.m. – Police arrested non-affiliate Melisa C. Sparacino, of Jeanette, Pa., for drunk driving at Allequippa and Darragh streets.
Saturday, Dec. 23 3:57 a.m. – Officers arrested non-affiliates Matthew Dolan, of Munhall, Pa., Vincent Hoover, of Whitacker, Pa., and Brian Keeseler, of Munhall, Pa., for disorderly conduct at Bouquet Gardens Building E. Officers also arrested non-affiliates Stephen R. Kotz, of Bethel Park, Pa., Jeffrey C. Knorr, of Bethel Park, Pa., Justin J. Gasbarre, of Bethel Park, Pa., and Jeffrey J. Duerr, of Bethel Park, Pa., for underage drinking at Bouquet Gardens Building E.
Friday, Dec. 29 2:36 a.m. – Police arrested non-affiliate John James Kuza, of 1918 Shamokin St., for drunk driving at Bouquet Street and Fifth Avenue.
Monday, Jan. 1 12:41 a.m. – Police arrested non-affiliate Colin McCurdy McKeon, of Camp Hill, Pa., for criminal mischief at Sennott Square.
2:16 a.m. – Officers assisted Pittsburgh Police with a street fight in the 3800 block of Dawson Street. The incident was cleared.
