Pinkston, a sophomore, will not lose a year of eligibility and will take a medical redshirt.

Pinkston injured his shoulder against Michigan State Sept. 15 and hadn’t played since. The Panthers lost freshmen Chris Jacobson and Dan Matha for the year in training camp, and both Mike McGlynn and Joe Thomas have been battling injuries all season, McGlynn recovering from offseason shoulder surgery.
