I’m sorry, professor. I mean, I hear what you’re saying, but don’t you realize giving me a D… I’m sorry, professor. I mean, I hear what you’re saying, but don’t you realize giving me a D on the midterm is going to embolden my inclinations to procrastinate. They tell me I should not worry about memorizing all three sections; I should enjoy some Wii bowling at Julie’s instead. And maybe as a result, I didn’t get to look over everything covered on the exam, but if you give me this grade, you’re only going to make it harder for me to ignore them come finals time – I’ve already ruined this class, why bother? I guess you could say that these inclinations are emboldened as a result of my entertaining and establishing an environment for them in the first place, but I’m sure I have no idea to what you’re referring.
Oh, extra-credit paper? Well, that sure is mighty white of you, sir. It’s due the 14th? Oh
