Palko, Panthers ready to move on

There is one thing, however, that stands out from everything else.

A light blue note from a friend sticks inside the locker. It reads, “Win the national championship. Make sure nobody forgets Pittsburgh again.”

Pitt’s 5-6 record last season is something all Panthers and Panther fans alike would like to forget. However, Palko believes last year is something that should be fresh in everyone’s mind.

“The way you judge your team is how you react when adversity hits,” he said. “We had some adversity last year and now I think this group is a little closer.”

After months of grueling off-season training and weeks of spring practices, the Panthers concluded the spring season at Heinz Field on Saturday in the annual Blue-Gold intra-squad scrimmage. Palko threw 27 times, completing 17 for 172 yards and a touchdown.

“You’re Tyler Palko’s
