After inviting a few more candidates for the empty Greek adviser position to visit Pitt,… After inviting a few more candidates for the empty Greek adviser position to visit Pitt, administrators are still accepting applications for the job. Associate Dean of Student Affairs and acting Greek Adviser Birney Harrigan said last week that Pitt leaders are “actively engaged” in the search, although the University has not yet made any more offers to candidates, since two applicants declined the offer last month.
Greek leaders Lindsay Woods, Peuge Benjamin and Steve Mihlfried continue to meet candidates when they are invited to the University, Harrigan said. One candidate visited two weeks ago, and another visited Thursday.
Harrigan did not respond yesterday with additional information about the search for a Greek adviser, but she said last week that Pitt has pursued a variety of ways to recruit applicants, including taking out advertisements and contacting people in the field who might know of others who would be interested in the job.
