Signing up for sisterhood

Tuesday night, Amber Kerr’s long journey finally came to an end.

“I’ve finally found where… Tuesday night, Amber Kerr’s long journey finally came to an end.

“I’ve finally found where I belong,” Kerr, a sophomore, said after receiving her bid from the sorority Theta Phi Alpha. “It’s the first group of girls I actually have something in common with.”

At 8 p.m. Tuesday, pledges received white envelopes with their names neatly hand-written across the front. Inside was an invitation to accept a bid from one of each girl’s two preferred sororities. An hour later, pledges greeted their new sisters.
