Feline lovers will be in a frenzy this weekend when the Western Pennsylvania Cat Fanciers hold their annual March cat show.

You won’t find any mutts here. More than 400 different purebred cats from all over the country will be parading around Heinz Field’s Club Level, which is indoors; if Mother Nature pulls a fast one, the show will go on. Beautiful, rumored to be malevolent Siamese cats will be strutting their stuff, and even cats that look like Dr. Evil’s Mr. Bigglesworth are sure to be spotted.

Since watching cats circle around a room all day can get a wee bit monotonous, there are other things to keep you entertained. Spectators at the event will be able to get up close and personal with the cats while they are not competing, and there will also be kittens for sale – most likely royal, award-winning blood flows through their veins, so they can’t just give them away, you know. Cat questions can be answered and vendors will be selling cat toys, cat furniture, premium cat food and other such feline-related items.

All of the cats and more can be yours for a low price of $6. The event is taking place Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.

One final word of advice: If you are allergic to cats, I recommend that you stay away – I don’t want to be to blamed for your red nose and puffy eyes.
