Yet another intense show comes to Pittsburgh Friday night when Trust Company takes the stage at Metropol. The rocking quartet from Alabama is taking to the road for their first headlining tour since their major-label debut, The Lonely Position of Neutral.

The group’s album has been certified gold, and it was just released last summer. Trust Company has done its fair share of touring in the past year having played at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as well as in several European festivals.

“Downfall,” the first single from the album, has received major radio and video airplay. The heavy guitars and the driving rhythm section are accentuated by frontman Kevin Palmer’s angst-filled lyrics. The album is filled with powerful songs that simply rock.

In their hometown of Montgomery, Ala., there isn’t an outlet for their music. There aren’t any clubs for bands to play in, and it is rare for a concert to come through the town. Because of this situation, Trust Company had to spend the majority of their early beginnings as a band traveling the country finding places to play.

The band tries to provide something different for their fans when they come to a show. Trust Company is what you would call a raw band. They produced a polished studio album that has helped bring in the fans who enjoy the rock sound that Trust Company provides. Their live show isn’t the polished sound on the album: It is raw, it is intense, and it sounds completely different than the album – which is what rock bands and all recording artists should be like when they perform live.
