In the midst of the popular music scene exist a number of unknown artists who in their own ranks have a following and produce decent music. The band 34 Satellite can count themselves among these relatively unknown yet good bands.

With their sophomore album on Hideaway Records, 34 Satellite released Stop in mid-February. Providing early fans from their first album Radar, which received radio airplay at more than 200 stations, with the same airy, smooth and relaxing sounds that tend to float though the speakers of the radio.

Produced by Dave McNair and John Agnello, Stop flows from song to song all the way through to the end of the CD.

Lead singer Marc Benning’s meaningful and witty lyrics ride on top of the airy and smooth sounds provided by the somewhat eclectic band. Coming from parts of the country as diverse as New York, North Carolina and Colorado, each member brings diverse influences to the band.

Stop provides a relaxing and smooth sound that provides good listening from a somewhat otherwise unknown band.
