We want to see ourselves in the media. This need goes beyond the narcissistic thrill and… We want to see ourselves in the media. We go to movies or flip through glossy magazine pages and find someone who looks like, thinks like and acts like we do. From movie stars to supermodels to the drummer in the band of the month, we want to see our experiences, our desires and dreams spelled out in boldface or flickering on the silvery backdrop.
