Students seeking ways to help the nation heal from the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks should look… Students seeking ways to help the nation heal from the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks should look no further than the William Pitt Union.

From 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. today, in the lower level of the Union, the University will host a group of support organizations gathered to help and educate students in the wake of the attacks.

Among the organizations represented are Allegheny County Department of Human Resources, American Red Cross, Catholic Charities Diocese of Pittsburgh, Center for Race Relations, Parental Stress Center, Salvation Army, United Way and YWCA of Greater Pittsburgh.

Joe Drahnak of the United Way of New York said after the attacks occurred, these groups joined to provide an information session for students. The Salvation Army is collecting money for the United Way of New York in local businesses. Students can also mail a donation.
