That abstract entity is always in short supply. Be it parking space or living space, it is rare that there is ever an abundance.
But Barbara Mellix, the assistant dean and director of the College of Arts and Sciences advising center and a team of about eight advisers have been working for more than a year on a process to create classroom space for students.
As a result, some of the more popular required and introductory courses have lots of empty seats waiting to be filled.
