A multitude of peregrine falcons have called Pitt’s Cathedral of Learning home since 2001 and they have been livestreamed since about 2007. Morela, distinguished by her peachy breast and face coloring, laid four eggs with Ecco, the first being born on St. Patrick’s Day, and the last being born on March 24.

Pitt adds 31 COVID-19 cases since Tuesday, offers new testing times

Pitt added 31 new COVID-19 cases, composed of 27 students and four employees, between Tuesday and Thursday, with 71 students currently in isolation. The University’s previous case report, covering last Friday to Monday, included 25 cases.
During Wednesday’s Faculty Assembly meeting, President Chris Bonneau introduced a resolution for Pitt to make vaccination a requirement and to ensure equal vaccination opportunities for students.

All students should be required to have a COVID-19 vaccination to participate in on-campus activities next fall, according to a proposal introduced at Wednesday’s Faculty Assembly meeting. No formal vote was given on this resolution at the meeting.

Larry Davis, the dean emeritus of the School of Social Work, passed away on March 30 at 74. A renowned scholar on race in America, Davis joined Pitt as the school’s dean in 2001 and founded the Center on Race and Social Problems shortly after in 2002.
