Jam On Walnut returns for summer 2023

Called “the most anticipated block party of the summer,” Shadyside’s monthly Jam on Walnut outdoor concert series hosts four different bands on four different Saturdays during the summer months. In addition, the event offers food trucks and an opportunity to shop at the local businesses along Walnut Street, and the proceeds go to support local charities such as the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and Animal Friends, Inc.

University announces “Discourse and Dialogue” theme for 2023-2024 year

After a year of protest, conversation and controversy, the University has coined the title ‘Discourse and Dialogue’ for the 2023-24 academic year to reflect their mission as a public university to “uphold the principles of protected speech and expression.” A team of students and faculty will be developed to cultivate the program as Pitt prepares to initiate its 10th themed academic year.
