Orrin Evans can’t remember a time when he wasn’t making music on the piano. The Philadelphia-based professional jazz pianist said if someone is meant to be a musician, the career chooses them.

The newly revived Pittsburgh Undergraduate Review journal is giving Pitt students a chance to showcase their work as in-person research gets back into full swing.
The Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences gives its students a “liberal arts education,” which is the reason behind all your gen-eds. There are ways to choose your gen-eds strategically, so you can both learn and have fun.
Pittsburgh is home to a large number of museums, which feature exhibits from multimedia art to geology. Luckily, Pitt has a major that prepares students specifically for work in these special places.

Pittsburgh Restaurant Week is a biannual event, taking place in both January and August. This winter’s week takes place from Jan. 10 to 16. Participating restaurants include The Porch at Schenley, The Commoner, Fujiya Ramen and Condado Tacos.
