For Carla Panzella, listening is key. Pitt’s new dean of students, who has been on the job since Aug. 2, said it’s a crucial part of her job to listen to student concerns and help turn ideas into action.
The CMRO said the Pitt CoVax Vaccination Center will offer COVID-19 vaccinations for children ages 5-11 as early as Nov. 4.

Pitt faculty voted to unionize, creating the largest new union in the country. Chris Deluzio, an adjunct law school professor, said he’s “ecstatic” about the “huge win.”

The Office of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion held a town hall on Wednesday to outline the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Tactical Plan. The plan includes a land acknowledgement, anti-racism pledge and aims to create an equitable and inclusive campus environment.
Pitt’s Senate Council discussed enrollment numbers, the budget cycle and possible student staff and faculty vaccine requirements at last Wednesday’s meeting. In addition, the Council also voted to create an ad-hoc committee for dependent care.
