Pitt added 22 new COVID-19 cases, composed of 21 students and one employee, between Tuesday and Thursday, with 33 students currently in isolation. The University’s previous case report, covering last Friday to Monday, included 17 cases.

Pitt to shift to Guarded risk posture next Thursday

Pitt will move into the Guarded risk posture next Thursday at 7 a.m., the University announced in a Friday morning email. This lowest level posture allows for most activities to be in person with virtual options and limited restrictions.
Catherine Pressimone, a rising third-year medical student and cofounder of Pitt Influenzers, said she founded the club based on three areas she felt needed more attention and awareness from the people, with one of their primary initiatives being to pass legislation that allows dentists to administer COVID-19 and Influenza vaccines.
