Kyaien Conner to bring community focus as director of CRSP

Kyaien Conner started her masters in social work at Pitt in 2002 — the same year that the Center for Race and Social Problems first opened. Twenty years later, she will return to Pitt as the new director of CRSP.

Larry Davis, the dean emeritus of the School of Social Work, passed away on March 30 at 74. A renowned scholar on race in America, Davis joined Pitt as the school’s dean in 2001 and founded the Center on Race and Social Problems shortly after in 2002.
