Panthers finish regular season on a high note, dominate Hurricanes 42-16

Pitt football closed out its regular season with a dominating road win over the Miami Hurricanes. Senior wide receiver Jared Wayne stole the show, racking up 199 yards and three touchdowns in the win.

Pitt endures late push from Blue Devils, defeats Duke 28-26 on Senior Day

The Panthers welcomed the Duke Blue Devils for Senior Day on Saturday afternoon. Pitt gave its seniors a reason to celebrate, taking down the Blue Devils 28-26. Junior running back Israel Abanikanda finished the game with 117 yards rushing.

Erick Hallett II named Jim Thorpe Award Semifinalist

The Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame has named Pitt senior safety Erick Hallett II as a semifinalist for the Paycom Jim Thorpe Award. The award recognizes the top defensive back in college football. The honor takes “performance on the field, athletic ability and character” into consideration as well.
