Though Pitt women’s lacrosse won’t play its first season until 2021, head coach Emily Boissonneault has embraced the unique challenge of building a program from the ground up.

Pitt Athletic Director Heather Lyke announced the addition of the women’s lacrosse team on Thursday, its first season will be in spring 2022. Pitt’s last varsity sports addition was over 20 years ago when women’s softball was added in 1998.
