Pitt officials presented an application for Pitt’s new Institutional Master Plan to members of Pittsburgh City Council at a public hearing Wednesday afternoon.
The Oakland Planning and Development Corp. held a public meeting Tuesday night to discuss neighborhood developments, including a proposal to demolish and refurbish the current Croatian Fraternal Union located on 3441 Forbes Avenue.

After severe damage to the structural integrity of the Croatian Fraternal Union building, a Pitt official discussed the University’s plan to demolish the building and salvage parts of its facade for the sake of historical preservation.
Pitt’s institutional master plan, which will guide University construction for the next 10 to 25 years, officially began the City Planning Commission’s formal approval process Tuesday.
