Pittsburgh Alliance for Revolutionary Youth organized a protest Tuesday in solidarity with University of Nebraska-Lincoln students in their fight against the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity. Under 10 people attended the protest.
Pittsburgh Action Against Rape — an organization to help victims of sexual or relationship violence — led a discusson via Zoom on Thursday to talk about how to support survivors of sexual misconduct on college campuses, specifically how to use the Title IX office’s resources, what trauma from sexual violence can look like and how to help victims of sexual violence.

Pitt partnered with Pittsburgh Action Against Rape to hold a supporting survivors workshop on Thursday morning as part of its recognition of Sexual Assault Awareness Month, which is in April.
Pitt’s Office of Civil Rights and Title IX hosted an event titled “Violence on the Rise: The Troubled Relationship between COVID-19 and domestic violence” last September, which addressed the increase of domestic violence and sexual violence during the pandemic.
