Kenyon Bonner, vice provost for student affairs, is stepping down from his position and leaving the University in December after almost two decades at Pitt.

After a year of protest, conversation and controversy, the University has coined the title ‘Discourse and Dialogue’ for the 2023-24 academic year to reflect their mission as a public university to “uphold the principles of protected speech and expression.” A team of students and faculty will be developed to cultivate the program as Pitt prepares to initiate its 10th themed academic year.

Nathan Urban will leave his position as vice provost for Pitt’s graduate studies and strategic initiatives this summer to become the provost of Lehigh University.

After working at Pitt for 27 years, Laurie Kirsch will step down from her position as vice provost for faculty affairs, development and diversity on June 30.
