Panther volleyball dominates at BYU Invitational

The No. 10 Panthers dominated at the BYU invitational this weekend, posting three wins against top non-conference opponents. The Panthers capped off the weekend with an upset win against No. 7 BYU, earning them the invitational title just a week after their opening game loss to No. 12 San Diego in Texas.

Fisher, Fairbanks lead USA Women’s U21 Volleyball to gold at Pan American Cup

The U.S. Women’s U21 National Volleyball team captured its second Pan American Cup on Sunday, knocking off Argentina 3-1 at La Paz Arena in Baja California Sur, Mexico. The team dropped just two sets on their way to a 5-0 tournament sweep. The last time the U.S. claimed the Pan American Cup was in 2017. Pitt volleyball head coach Dan Fisher led the U.S. squad after being announced as head coach of the team on May 2.

As the semester winds down, Pitt baseball is heating up. The team continued a hot run through conference play with a 2-1 series win over No. 6 Virginia, headlining the weekend in Pitt athletics.

Pitt defeats No. 6 Purdue, advances to first Final Four in program history

Pitt volleyball has now gone further in the NCAA Tournament than any past Panther team, after a four-set victory vs. Purdue at the Fitzgerald Field House on Saturday. The Panthers have now earned their first trip to the Final Four in program history.
