Pitt volleyball begins ACC with wins against UNC and NC State

No. 4 Pitt volleyball continued their dominant start to the 2021 season by beating North Carolina and North Carolina State this weekend. The Panthers struggled at times, but still returned home with a pair of 3-1 wins under their belts.
Kayla Lund led a dominant run of Pitt volleyball during her time in Oakland. As she looks toward the end of her time as a Panther, Lund wants to make history and memories on the court.

No. 4 Pitt volleyball traveled to Johnson Arena in Morehead, Ky. for its final tune-up games at the Comfort Inn-vitational in preparation of their ACC opener against UNC on Friday. The undefeated Panthers dominated the event, sweeping Marshall and Morehead State and improving their spotless record to 10-0 on the season.

No. 4 Pitt volleyball made the trip southwest to Johnson Arena in Morehead, Ky. for its final tune-up games at the Comfort Inn-vitational. The Panthers went 2-0 and didn’t drop a set against Marshall and Morehead State.

No. 4 Pitt Volleyball hosted the Panther Challenge at the Fitzgerald Field House this weekend. The Panthers swept the event, beating High Point, No. 12 BYU and Bowling Green to maintain their perfect record.
On Friday, the Panthers celebrated after extending their winning streak with a 3-1 victory at home over No. 12 BYU. It was their second victory of the day in the Panther Challenge, hosted this weekend by Pitt at the Fitzgerald Field House.

No. 4 Pitt volleyball remained undefeated and added another win over a ranked opponent on Friday night. The Panthers downed No. 12 BYU at the Fitzgerald Field House to conclude the first day of the Panther Challenge.
With 14 team kills for Pitt and fifth-year right-side hitter and middle blocker Chinaza Ndee’s set-winning kill, the Panthers took the third set at the Carolina Classic at a score of 25-19.

No. 9 Pitt volleyball traveled to South Carolina over the weekend, opening its season at the Carolina Classic. The Panthers swept the event with three victories against No. 23 Rice, No. 18 Washington State and unranked South Carolina.
Now that Panther fans can return to the stands, there are a few dates that they should circle from multiple sports, such as men’s and women’s soccer.
