Pitt’s Ford Institute for Human Security will host a three-part film series today through Monday. The films will be documentaries about issues in Sudan, Chad and the Democratic Republic of Congo. They were selected by John Prendergast, who co-founded the Enough Project, a group devoted to ending genocide and crimes against humanity. After each film, there will be a Q&A session with Prendergast.
The movie screenings will be as follows:
Feb. 23 — War Child: A Child Soldier’s Story (C. Karim Chrobog, 2008)
Feb. 25 — 3 Points: Peace, Protection, Punishment (Josh Victor Rothstein, 2009)
Feb. 28 — The Greatest Silence: Rape in the Congo (Lisa F. Jackson, 2007)
