Drummer Greg Saunier said the title is a form of self-mockery.

“Deerhoof has been described by some as musical champions fighting musical evil,” Saunier said. “We find that pretty funny — we just make music, you know?”

Guitarist John Dieterich said the album’s songs should be conducive to a live setting.

“When we wrote this album, we imagined it was playable,” Dieterich said. “Some of our other albums like Friend Opportunity were pretty difficult to translate to the stage. It’s a tricky process.”

The show is available to all ages. For more information, call 1-800-745-3000.
