The federal and state government will reimburse the city for the $12.24 million spent on wages, training, meals, equipment and insurance, among other expenses, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. City Council budgeted $16 million for the Summit.

The city is primed to receive $7.57 million from the federal Department of Justice, $3.42 million from the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency and $1.25 million from the Department of Homeland Security by mid-year, the paper said.
