This year’s Pittsburgh Pride in the Street will have even more glitter than usual.

Kesha will headline this year’s event, an annual celebration of the LGBTQ+ community, according to a Delta Foundation of Pittsburgh release. The foundation also announced Wednesday that Angel Haze, a pansexual and agender rapper, will perform at the festival June 11. The Liberty Avenue celebration is the “largest community festival that celebrates the diversity of the Pittsburgh region” for the LGBTQ+ community, according to the release.

Gary Van Horn Jr., president of the foundation, said in the release that Kesha has consistently used her international influence to stop LGBTQ+ bullying, harassment and inequality.

“We are thrilled to bring her to Pride in the Street this year,” Van Horn said in the release. “We know that Pittsburgh’s LGBT community and allies will be excited to welcome her.”

Kesha released her most recent album, “Animal,” in 2010. The album skyrocketed her career, leading to her spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 Artists list, according to the release.

Angel Haze, an up-and-coming African-American and Native American rapper, released their most recent album, “Back to the Woods,” in September 2015, according to the release.

The show is general admission and open to anyone over 18, though minors accompanied by an adult over 25 may attend as well. Tickets are $33, but those who get a free wellness exam from the Central Outreach Wellness Center on the North Side can receive $20 off.

The exam includes taking blood pressure, testing for STIs and taking a survey about pre-exposure prophylaxis — daily medication that helps prevent the spread of HIV — according to the release.

Pittsburgh Pride will begin June 3, consisting of not-yet-announced events leading up to Kesha’s and Haze’s performances, the release said.

According to the release, the foundation expects more than 100,000 attendees throughout its 10 days of events leading up to the festival.
