Women’s Basketball: Pitt tops Ball State

The Pitt women’s basketball team beat Ball State, 63-58, in Muncie, Ind., Thursday night in the Panthers’ (2-0) first road game.

Redshirt freshman Marvadene “Bubbles” Anderson made her regular-season debut, after serving a one-game suspension for violating team rules and scored 11 points.

Junior guard Brianna Kiesel and redshirt senior Ashlee Anderson led the Panthers in scoring with 12 points each. Junior forward Asia Logan had nine points and seven rebounds.

Pitt returns home Sunday with hopes of avenging a 68-65 loss to Lafayette last season. Tipoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
