The Associated Press ranked Pitt No. 17 in its pre-season college football poll released Monday. This is the highest pre-season ranking for the Panthers since 2010 when they started their season ranked No. 15.

Panthers ranked No. 16 in USA Today’s AFCA Coaches’ Poll

USA Today released its pre-season American Football Coaches Association Poll on Monday morning and Pitt received its highest ranking to start its season since 2010. Following their most successful season in recent history, the Panthers find themselves ranked No. 16 in the country to start the season.

ESPN’s College Gameday to hold show in Pittsburgh ahead of Backyard Brawl

Pitt announced on Thursday that ESPN’s well known College Gameday show will host its weekly show in Pittsburgh ahead of the Backyard Brawl. This is the first time College Gameday will host its show in Pittsburgh since 2005.

Acrisure Insurance buys naming rights to Steelers, Pitt venue on North Shore

Pitt football will no longer play its home games at Heinz Field. The longstanding partnership between Heinz and the Pittsburgh Steelers came to an end this week when the Steelers announced that the naming rights to the stadium now belong to Acrisure Insurance. Pitt has shared the venue with the Steelers since its opening in 2001.
