Men’s basketball to lengthen losing streak at Georgia Tech

Pitt men’s basketball is currently riding a six-game losing streak. The Panthers are sliding at the wrong time, but their schedule grants them a small break. On Wednesday, they get a rematch with the last team they beat. In their last game of the regular season, the Pittsburgh Panthers (15-15 overall, 6-13 ACC) will travel to Atlanta to take on the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (15-14 overall, 9-9 ACC) on Wednesday night at 9 p.m.

Pitt drops sixth straight to NC State, 77-73

They traveled to Raleigh, North Carolina on Saturday looking to snap another long skid against NC State (18-11 overall, 9-9 ACC), to whom the Panthers (15-15 overall, 6-13 ACC) have lost nine straight contests, but fell agonizingly short in a 77-73 loss. Poor free throw shooting made for long scoring droughts and the Wolfpack capitalized on their opponent’s mediocrity from the charity stripe.

The Seminoles avenged their opening-night loss to the Panthers and remained in the hunt for a No. 1 seed in March’s NCAA Tournament.
