The Petersen Events Center hosted the East Atlantic Gymnastics League Championship for the first time in 17 years Saturday night. The seven competing teams — No. 1 NC State, No. 2 Towson, No. 4 Temple, No. 5 North Carolina, No. 6 Pitt, No. 7 George Washington and No. 8 LIU — battled it out to see who would wear the League's crown after the irregular 2021 season.

Pitt adds 38 COVID-19 cases since Tuesday

Pitt added 38 new COVID-19 cases, composed of 36 students and two employees, between Tuesday and Thursday, with 45 students currently in isolation. Faculty and student government leaders said Friday evening that they were frustrated by the rapid rise in cases.
Pitt moved from Elevated Risk to Guarded Risk last Thursday at 7 a.m., following the limited reopening of some dining and study spaces in mid-February. These study spots include the Cathedral of Learning, the William Pitt Union, Hillman Library and many other locations.

Pitt’s Horror Studies Working Group co-sponsored a panel with the Department of Screen Cultures at Northwestern University and the Department of Arts at Northumbria University Thursday via Zoom.
