Pitt bounced by Boston College in ACC Tournament’s first round, 66-46

Pitt men’s basketball went out with a whimper Tuesday afternoon. The team closed its 2021-22 campaign with a 66-46 loss to Boston College in the ACC Tournament’s opening game — a contest that was over long before the clock ran out.

Two quick second-half goals propel Notre Dame past Pitt in ACC Semifinal

Coming off an emotional, double-overtime victory in the quarterfinal round, top-seeded Pitt men’s soccer fell to the No. 5-seeded Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the semifinals of the ACC Championship, 2-0.

Panthers advance to semifinals of ACC soccer tournament with 2-1 win over Hokies

Pitt men’s soccer beat Virginia Tech 2-1 in double overtime on Sunday afternoon. With this win, the Panthers advance to the semifinal round of the ACC men’s soccer tournament, where they will meet Notre Dame.
After a roller-coaster of a season, Pitt’s baseball program earned itself a spot in the ACC Tournament in Charlotte N.C. Pitt enters the tournament as the No. 10 seed, placed in Pool C along with the No. 3 NC State Wolfpack and the No. 6 North Carolina Tar Heels.

After a roller-coaster of a season, Pitt’s baseball program earned itself a spot in the ACC Tournament in Charlotte N.C. Pitt enters the tournament as the No. 10 seed, placed in Pool C along with the No. 3 NC State Wolfpack and the No. 6 North Carolina Tar Heels.
Pitt volleyball (18-4) shocked the entire sport on Sunday, outlasting Minnesota (16-3) in a five-set thriller 21-25, 25-23, 20-25, 25-21, 15-11. The Panthers will face Washington in the Elite Eight on Monday at noon.

Just a few days after its first second-round NCAA Tournament victory, Pitt volleyball shocked the No. 3 Minnesota Gophers in a thrilling comeback. The Panthers will face No. 6 Washington in the Elite Eight on Monday at noon.
Nike Sibande (22) recorded season-highs in points (12), rebounds (7), shot attempts (13) and minutes (36) against the Florida State Seminoles last weekend.

Pitt falls 79-73 to Miami in ACC Tournament’s opening round

Pitt men’s basketball entered the ACC Tournament desperate to pull themselves out of a downward spiral that goes back months.  It began when the Panthers (10-12 overall, 6-10 ACC) dropped a one-point contest to Wake Forest on Jan. 23, snowballed into a streak during which they lost nine of 11, reached its climax when junior stars Xavier Johnson and Au’Diese Toney transferred and ends with a 79-73 loss to under-manned Miami (9-16 overall, 4-15 ACC) on the first day of the ACC Tournament in Greensboro, North Carolina. 
Pitt star forward Justin Champagnie announced on Tuesday that he will test the NBA Draft process.

Pitt women’s basketball qualified as the No. 15 seed of 15 teams in the ACC Tournament. The Panthers play their first tournament game on Wednesday.
