LGBTQ+ friendly affordable housing breaks ground in Oakland

The apartment building set to be a LGBTQ+ friendly affordable housing community in Oakland is the first of its kind in Western Pennsylvania. The creation of LGBTQ+ affordable housing seeks to address housing disparities and discrimination faced by elders in the community.
The U.S. Human Rights Cities Alliance and Pittsburgh Human Rights Working Group hosted an event titled “Housing Justice, Human Rights and Health Webinar: Engaging Locally” with Leilani Farha on Thursday night.
