Reading the signs: Swanson students create ASL-to-text translator

Pitt students won third place in the InnovateFPGA 2019 Global Design Contest Regional Final with an American Sign Language-to-text translator prototype.

The students recently placed in a competition with a prototype of their translator, which takes a video of a word being signed and translates it using an ever-learning algorithm.
