The late Joe Solomon, a former wrestling National Champion at Pitt, was named to the 2020 class of the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame on Saturday.

Pitt women’s basketball will be short one of its veteran players next season, as junior guard Kyla Nelson announced Thursday she will transfer from the program.
The ACC announced the 2020-21 women’s basketball schedule on Wednesday, where Pitt will play 20 games amongst three regions.

After a shocking upset victory over Notre Dame in the first round of the ACC Women's Basketball Tournament, Pitt's postseason run came to an end with a loss to Georgia Tech Thursday.
First-year guard Dayshanette Harris scored a career-high 27 points while shooting 9-26 from the floor, 3-8 from 3-point range and a perfect 6-6 from the foul line against Boston College.

Pitt's future is bright with the emergence of first-year guard Dayshanette Harris, who was named to the ACC All-Freshman Team Monday afternoon.
First-year guard Dayshanette Harris scored 22 points against Miami Sunday, making it the fourth game this year where she has scored 20 or more points as a first-year player. She is the first Pitt player to accomplish this feat since former Pitt star Briana Kiesel did it in the 2011-12 season.

Pitt secures last-place finish with 73-54 loss to Miami

Pitt women’s basketball looked to end their regular season on a high note in Miami on Sunday, hoping to get their first road win in ACC play this season and stop their long losing streak. Instead, the Hurricanes controlled the game from start to finish, shot the ball efficiently and outscored Pitt 62-36 in the first three quarters on the way to a 73-54 route.
