Saturday’s football game against Clemson brought the largest crowd of the season so far to Heinz Field. Pitt fans partied at tailgates before kickoff and celebrated in the stands as the Panthers dominated the afternoon.
Coming off its third loss of the season, No. 2 Pitt men’s soccer bounced back convincingly in the team’s opening match of the NCAA tournament, defeating the Monmouth Hawks 6-1.

Two-time defending ACC champion Jake Wenzel (9-1) won 1-0 in his opening match against Drexels Evan Barczak (6-3) on March 18. Wenzel was also Pitt’s highest individual seed since Max Thomusseit (2 at 184) in 2015.
