Pitt adds remote option for first two weeks of fall classes, in ‘unexpected departure’ from intended plans

Students will have the option of attending certain classes either remotely or in person for the first two weeks of the fall semester, Pitt announced Friday.
Though Chancellor Patrick Gallagher did not announce a vaccine “mandate” in a letter addressed to Pitt community members on July 23, he said Pitt is “not neutral” towards receiving the vaccine.

Student-run news channel seeks to connect Chinese international students with Pitt

Since Yitian Wang founded Pitt-China Weekly this February, the news channel is making the nearly 7,000-mile distance from Pitt to China feel a little shorter for Chinese international students and their parents during the COVID-19 pandemic.
