Garage Door Saloon owner, landlord in legal battle over repairs

Mark Welshonse, the owner of Garage Door Saloon, and Neal Scoratow, the landlord, have disputed building repairs at the bar since March, and it has consequently been shut down temporarily. A lawsuit is ongoing with both sides claiming breach of contract.

Garage Door Saloon forced to close after City condemns building

The city of Pittsburgh’s Department of Permits, Licenses and Inspections condemned the building which houses the popular Garage Door Saloon on Monday.
U.S. District Judge J. Nicholas Ranjan said there was no evidence to suggest Rosfelds resignation was coerced under duress.

Rosfeld wrongful termination lawsuit dismissed

Rosfeld filed a civil complaint in January against the University, Pitt police Chief James Loftus and Kathy Humphrey, the senior vice chancellor for engagement, for allegedly violating his due process rights and the 14th Amendment in his Jan. 18, 2018 termination.
