Pitt students and faculty stopped by the Global Hub on Wednesday to enjoy the Lunar New Year celebration. Lunar New Year, also known as Chinese New Year, is a festival that celebrates the beginning of the new year based on the lunar calendar.

Before the COVID-19 pandemic, Pitt’s Irish dance club could be found every Monday night practicing in the Pete. But this year, Mary Grace Mooney, the president of the team, said the timed jumps and leaps will have to be done within the walls of dorm rooms, apartments and parking lots.

To educate students about the coffee industry, the Global Hub featured its third coffee-tasting event in an ongoing series, called Global Brew

Pitt’s Global Hub, located on the first floor of Posvar Hall, will host a free global tea tasting every day this week from 9 a.m. to noon.

On Tuesday, Pitt officially opened its Global Hub, located on the first floor of Posvar Hall.
