With a new semester underway, students reflected on their Homecoming weekend, which was the first in-person Homecoming for first-year and sophomore students.

At a packed stadium for Pitt’s Homecoming football game on Saturday, De’Jovia Davis and Ian Montelius won Spirit of Pitt awards. Davis said it was “surreal” and she “couldn't do anything but smile” after winning.

It’s time to vote for the Spirit of Pitt awards — Pitt’s alternative to Homecoming king and queen.

The African American Alumni Council held a webinar on Saturday titled, “Activism Through the Decades.” The panel — made up of Black students, alumni and community leaders — focused on student and alumni activism and was open to questions from the audience.

Pitt has not held in-person events for Homecoming Week in nearly two years, but the festivities are back in full swing this week — well, almost full swing.
