Pitt football powers through pandemic recruiting

The COVID-19 pandemic has forced millions of employed Americans to adapt to work from home, and the realm of college sports is no different. Coaches face numerous unfamiliar tasks, which include keeping in touch with athletes, solving scheduling challenges and — above all else — virtual recruiting.

Pittsburgh sports community donates $800,000 to vaccine research

Pitt athletics announced Wednesday morning that four of the department’s leaders — athletic director Heather Lyke, head football coach Pat Narduzzi, head women’s basketball coach Lance White and head men’s basketball coach Jeff Capel — would donate a combined $500,000 to support Pitt’s Center for Vaccine Research in their pursuit of a vaccine that protects against the coronavirus.
In reading Pitt’s press release, the NCAA’s public announcement and its full violation document, former Pitt men’s basketball coach Kevin Stallings’ name is not mentioned.
