For seniors like Avery Moore, the bar options on Pitt’s campus, from Gene’s and Phats to Bootleggers and Mario’s, “all feel very undergraduate.” Once you turn 21, Moore said, “You can really explore stuff” outside the bubble of Oakland, which includes finding more diverse bars.

‘The perfect option’: Students speak on University jobs

Pitt offers students jobs that come with more flexibility than usual, but with this flexibility often comes less pay. There are jobs available all over campus — from Nordy’s Place to the Baierl Recreation Center, the University Store on Fifth and the university mailrooms.
The University-wide shelter-in-place period ended as of 7 a.m. Tuesday morning. 

Pitt releases late January, early February move-in groups

Pitt students living on campus can plan to move into their dorms beginning in late January, according to a Wednesday afternoon email from Pitt’s COVID Medical Response Office. Residents are grouped into one of four move-in dates — Jan. 29, Jan. 31, Feb. 3 or Feb. 5 — per the latest CMRO guidance.
