The University Senate’s Budget Policies Committee held its first meeting of the academic year via Zoom on Friday, where members discussed the University’s 2021-22 budget and a subcommittee report on Pitt’s partnership with Outlier.

Faculty at Pitt’s Oakland campus will no longer be involved in the University’s partnership with education-technology startup Outlier, according to faculty government president Chris Bonneau.

As an instructor of Introduction to Psychology at Pitt, I’d like to make you aware of some very big differences between the Intro to Psychology course that Outlier is offering and the Introduction to Psychology courses that Pitt offers outside of this contract with Outlier.
