The University Senate’s Budget Policies Committee held its first meeting of the academic year via Zoom on Friday, where members discussed the University’s 2021-22 budget and a subcommittee report on Pitt’s partnership with Outlier.

Faculty express concerns about Pitt-Outlier partnership

Faculty at Pitt’s Oakland campus will no longer be involved in the University’s partnership with education-technology startup Outlier, according to faculty government president Chris Bonneau.
Pitt currently has a contract with Outlier to offer Calculus I and Intro to Psychology for credit throughout the summer.
