Pitt Football is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re gonna get. After coming up just short of No. 3 Notre Dame and then getting blown out by unranked Miami, no one is sure what to expect from the Panthers this weekend.

Men’s basketball pounces on Pitt-Johnstown, 78-59, in opening exhibition

The Pitt men’s basketball team kicked off its season in dominant fashion Thursday night, beating the branch-campus Pitt-Johnstown Mountain Cats 78-59 in an exhibition opener at the Petersen Events Center.
The Panther’s running game, led by senior running back Qadree Ollison (30), ranks at 45th in the nation with an average of 183.5 yards per game.
