Pitt athletics tied with Penn State for sixth in 2022-23 LEARFIELD Directors’ Cup standings

Pitt athletics’ strong fall performances moved them into sixth place in the 2022-23 LEARFIELD Directors’ Cup Division I standings. Pitt earned 309.00 points across all of its fall sports, putting the Panthers level with Penn State athletics.

Pitt athletics stayed busy over Thanksgiving break, with all its fall and winter sports continuing in action. Volleyball clinched a share of the ACC title and both men’s and women’s soccer battled in the NCAA tournament.

No. 24 Pitt men’s soccer moves on, win overtime battle against NC State in first round of ACC tournament

No. 24 Pitt men’s soccer pulled out a late 4-1 victory against NC State Wednesday night at Ambrose Urbanic Field in the first round of the ACC tournament. Michael Sullivan scored the game winner for the Panthers in the first overtime period.
