Police departments would like you to think that they’re doing valuable work to make cities safer and when crimes do occur, they’re able to track down the suspects.

Editorial: Boundaries necessary when employing school resource officers

To create a safe environment free of brutality, there needs to be an enforced divide between students and school resource officers. Rather than consider them responsible for discipline, it would be better to call them security officers and set their main function as external security.
