Swim and dive, gymnastics post historic results over weekend

Pitt swimming and diving and track and field saw their regular seasons end this weekend and posted historic results. Softball, meanwhile, is just getting started with ACC play, but dropped two of three in their first conference series at North Carolina.

Weekend sports: Gymnastics win at home, track dominates on the road

The weekend in Pitt sports was highlighted by resumé-building wins and tight losses. At home, the gymnastics team hosted a victorious tri-meet against Yale and Towson. On the road, the track and field team placed first in several events, wrestling came up short and softball split its weekend in South Carolina.

Pitt softball hopes for health, improvement in 2020

Pitt athletics traveled far and wide this weekend, with six teams competing all across the country. While men’s basketball’s win at home over Georgia Tech grabbed most of the headlines, other squads suited up for both conference and non-conference play — and experienced an even mix of results.

While Brad Pitt’s acting has been perfect in all 71 movies he’s been in, the Panthers’ weekend had far more mixed results.

New baseball, softball coaches get rude awakening
