HerStory Slam discusses trials, tribulations and triumph in womanhood

The HerStory Slam took place Monday evening in honor of Women’s History Month. The event united women across the Pittsburgh area to share “​​a pivotal moment in the formation of [their] identity,” according to the event’s webpage.
Poet Rudy Francisco gave performances of slam poetry in between taking questions Thursday night, in a town hall hosted by the Resident Student Association. In addition to reciting his poetry, Francisco talked about his becoming a poet, activism and his experience as a Black man.
